This training course teaches the fundamental concepts underlying airspace design and provides an overview of the main real-world factors affecting design decisions, with an emphasis on pragmatic and tested solutions.
Learning outcomes
Having completed the course, students should have gained a comprehensive understanding of the factors involved in efficient airspace design and classification and have the fundamental knowledge and skills to address traffic flows, sustainability and integration of manned and unmanned operations in their home airspace.
Prerequisites
This course is designed for air traffic management professionals, airspace planners, and flight procedure designers with an interest in airspace design.
The language of instruction is English. Attendees must be proficient at least to STANAG 6001 Level 3 or ICAO Level 4.
Method of instruction
In-person classroom instruction. Lectures followed by practical exercises and debrief.
