This training course teaches the principles of the Point-in-Space flight operation concept and reinforces the theoretical aspects with hands-on, practical exercises.
Learning outcomes
Having completed the course, the student should:
- be conversant with PinS concepts and definitions;
- be able to design PinS approach procedures;
- be able to design PinS departure procedures;
- understand the difference between different types of PinS approaches and be able to discern their appropriate uses.
Prerequisites
Attendees must have completed a recognised flight procedure design training course and/or have practical procedure design experience.
The language of instruction is English. Attendees must be proficient at least to STANAG 6001 Level 3 or ICAO Level 4.
Method of instruction
In-person classroom instruction. Lectures followed by practical exercises and debrief.

Approximately 35 classroom hours.
