Concept

This training course describes the developing concepts of vertical take-off and landing and vertiport design from a mainly air operations and ATM/ANS perspective. Practical exercises are used to illustrate and reinforce the concepts discussed.

Learning outcomes

Having completed the course, the student should be familiar with the current state of regulation concerning these forms of mobility and an appreciation of their impact on air operations.

Prerequisites

Attendees are expected to have an aviation background or at least a degree of familiarity with aviation concepts and terminology.

The language of instruction is English. Attendees must be proficient at least to STANAG 6001 Level 3 or ICAO Level 4.

Method of instruction

In-person classroom instruction. Lectures followed by practical exercises and debrief.

Approximately 50 classroom hours.
